"Qaddafi Killed by Yankee Fan: Gunman had more hits than A-Rod."

Probably Qaddafi Did Too!

Hat Tip - NESN

The folks at NESN are having a good laugh at the expense of the hated New York Yankees today.  Seems as though the guy who offed Qaddafi was wearing a blue cap with the familiar script “NY” on it - the century-old logo of the Yankees.

“The New York Post is known for its sensationalism, loud headlines and memorable front pages, so it wasn't surprising to see the newspaper take a shot at the city's highest paid baseball player in the wake of the death of Moammar Gadhafi.

The man who claims to have gunned down the former Libyan leader was wearing a Yankees hat, a fact which prompted the Post to run the following headline on its front page:

"Khadafy Killed by Yankee Fan: Gunman had more hits than A-Rod."

Ouch.

The newspaper has long made jokes at the expense of Alex Rodriguez, but it generally involved escapades with a "mystery blonde" or wisecracks about steroids.  This is certainly a new one.”

As a life-long Boston Red Sox fan, I enjoyed the chuckle.
