US Navy SEALS Training Film Evolves To “Act Of Valor” Documentary

See Why Osama Bin Laden Never Stood A Chance

By Dell Hill

It’s called “Act Of Valor” and the movie itself - which is expected in theaters February 17th - is already being called by some “the greatest war movie ever”.

What started out as just a training video for United States Navy SEALS has evolved into a full length documentary.

The Navy liked the training video so much, they decided to make a feature, and hired screenwriter Kurt Johnstad (300) to create a fictional story about a squad that goes on a covert mission to recover a kidnapped CIA agent.

We often leave the theatre saying “Oh, that’s just a movie; it’s not the real thing”.  Not so with this film.  All of the military personnel in this film are active duty Navy SEALS, and the action scenes are typical of the types of military engagements the SEALS train for daily.  The villains however, are played by actors, including Emilio Rivera and Roselyn Sanchez.

Take a peek at the Theatrical Trailer....

With the success of SEAL Team 6, American movie-goers might just make “Act Of Valor” an extremely popular film.
